Dutch silver medallist Patrick Roest has said Swedish two-time gold medallist Nils van der Poel is showing a lack of respect for his rivals in a debate on ice making at Olympic speed skating. The Dutch skating federation has been accused of reportedly trying to influence Canadian ice maker Mark Messer to prepare the ice in such a way that it suits their skaters – who have won four of the six gold medals on offer so far at the Games.
