The number of hate crimes and bias incidents more than doubled in Hudson County in 2021, according to statistics released by the New Jersey State Police earlier this month. The 2021 Hudson County total of 51 is the most in the county since 41 cases were reported in 2008. In 2020, there were 25 bias incidents reported. It’s not only in Hudson County, however.
