Available since March 31, Weird West has received a warm welcome from players. Despite some problems, particularly related to gameplay and a few bugs, the game manages to stand out thanks to its rather original concept. In order to improve the user experience, WolfEye Studios today releases an update full of fixes and welcome features.

Weird West Update 1.01 Details

In a communicated shared on Steam, the studio clarified the contributions of the Weird West 1.01 update. There are many fixes, but also some welcome ideas that contribute to the general ergonomics.

The main additions of update 1.01

  • You can now access your companions’ and horses’ inventory directly from the shop interface to resell items directly from their inventory.
  • Wanderers henceforth also buy junk.
  • The game now has 5 autosave slots instead of 3.
  • Added an option allowing the player to transfer all items from their inventory to the inventory of a companion, horse or container at once.
  • Companions automatically use the bandages they have in their inventory when their health drops below 40% (instead of the 25% threshold).
  • You can drop items from your inventory when browsing the inventory of containers or NPCs.

If this update mainly aims to fix many bugs, 1.02 will mainly focus on the quality of life of the title. It is also possible to add suggestions to this address.

If the update has already been available on Steam since this weekend, it should arrive on consoles during the day. Weird West is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and is of course playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. The game is also included in Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
