The first Tesla-branded electric pickup, with its very original style, was unveiled in 2019 and was to be launched in 2021, but the schedule was probably too optimistic and became complicated with the pandemic and the shortage of electronic components.

It is now in 2023 that Tesla will market the cybertruck, said its CEO Elon Musk again, apologizing for the delay. The vehicle will be produced in the recent Giga Texas plant which will have the highest production volume for a site in the United States.

However, it will arrive on the market after several electric pickups already announced, in production, or even already available such as the Hummer EV which has met with some success.

The billionaire indicated that the current year is devoted to the rise of the production capacities of its Gigafactories while the next year will see the arrival of new products.

Tesla must also offer its electric heavyweight Tesla Semi next year and put into production version 1 of the Tesla Bot Optimus who will replace humans for menial tasks.

Other novelties will undoubtedly emerge, Elon Musk having mentioned the development of a robotaxi “futuristic style“, while we are still waiting for the Tesla Roadster with breathtaking performance.

Finally, Tesla plans to expand the beta of its FSD (Full Self Driving) autonomous driving technology in North America later this year.
