Mikaela Shiffrin will be competing in Friday’s Olympic super-g race, the American ski federation has confirmed. Shiffrin had raised doubts about her Beijing Games programme after crashing out for the second time in as many races on Wednesday in the slalom. But the federation said after Thursday training that Shiffrin would be contesting the race in the discipline where she has won the world title in 2019 and finished third on two occasions this season.
