After announcing the new Mac Studio and Studio Display last month, Apple has a few more Macs to introduce in 2022. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest issue of the Power On newsletter, two of them could be featured at WWDC 2022. The keynote.
Gurman has been reporting for months that Apple has a long list of Macs to upgrade in 2022. While he said the first batch would arrive in the first months of the year, Gurman also said that a few more could arrive in the summer, which could potentially mean WWDC 2022.
Apple is preparing to release several new Mac computers in the next few months. What better way to do this than WWDC? This is where the Mac’s move from Intel processors to Apple’s own chips was announced two years ago.
I was told that there would be two new Macs in the middle of the year or early in the second half. One of them is likely to be the new MacBook Air.
If so, then a few months after the introduction of the M1 Ultra chip and the announcement that the M1 family is complete, Apple may be ready to introduce its first computer with the M2 chip, the MacBook Air. For now, rumors have it that it will have a redesign reminiscent of the 24-inch iMac with white bezels and colorful options to choose from.
While it was first speculated that this MacBook Air might have a miniLED display, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Plus, this Mac could bring new ports, MagSafe compatibility, and a better FaceTime camera.
Gurman also writes about the new Macs that Apple is expected to introduce this year:
Other models in development include a refreshed Mac mini and 24-inch iMac, as well as a budget MacBook Pro to replace the aging 13-inch model. And let’s not forget that new Mac Pro and iMac Pro models are in the works.
