Polish video game developer CI Games recently announced in its latest management report that the sequel Lords of the Fallen 2 will be released next year. The company also announced that Unreal Engine 5 will be the primary engine for their gaming brands, which are currently in development.

In its management report, CI Games explains its further approach to Lords of the Fallen 2. It literally says: “Lords of the Fallen: The sequel to this game has been developed by our internal studio Hexworks since 2019. Our studio with more than 60 internal Developers worked closely with other third-party developers in various disciplines to develop the game […] We plan to launch the global marketing campaign for the game in Q3 2022. Lords of the Fallen 2 is scheduled to be released in 2023 as a full-price game for the new generation of consoles and PC.”

The management report also reveals that Lords of the Fallen 2 is CI Games’ biggest project to date and that it should benefit from the growing popularity of the genre worldwide (Elden Ring). The game is scheduled to be released on the new generation consoles and PC by 2023. This should mean that last-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) will be left out of this title.

Lords of the Fallen 2: Sequel is not produced by German Studio Deck 13

CI Games also briefly mentioned Unreal Engine 5 in its report. CI Games intends to use Unreal Engine 5 as the primary engine for all major game brands currently in development. In addition to the leading technology that will be used in the latest Witcher and Tomb Raider games, the engine is intended to provide better synergy between the internal teams.
