Apple’s key manufacturing partners have received no guidance from the company to reduce orders for the 3rd generation iPhone SE and AirPods, according to Taiwanese industry publication DigiTimes.
At the end of March, the authoritative publication Nikkei Asia and TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple reduced orders for the production of new iPhone SE by 3 million units and AirPods 3 by 30% due to weak demand from buyers. However, according to a new report from DigiTimes, Taiwanese component manufacturers are not cutting production.
It is likely that analysts received information about Apple’s plans before the company instructed partners to cut production.
