US superstar Shaun White survived a scare in the men’s snowboard halfpipe qualifications on Wednesday to make the final in his fifth and last Olympic Games. The American three-time gold medallist fell in his first run, which gave him a score of 24.25 and put him 19th position, seven spots out of the top 12 making it to the final.
