Birk Ruud of Norway has become the first Olympic champion in the men’s freestyle big air, taking gold at the Beijing Winter Games on Wednesday. The 21-year-old earned the highest score of 95.75 on his first run at the new Big Air Shougang venue. His two best scores put him top of the standings on 187.75.
