Rouge Legacy 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the Rogulite from 2013 and is again being developed by Cellar Door Games. The first part could our test already convince. However, in contrast to other genre representatives such as Dead Cells, the game goes its own way. After more than a year of early access, the game is now to be released on April 28th.
What is Rogue Legacy 2 about?
As the name suggests, Rogue Legacy 2 is a roguelite. That means every time your character dies, you basically start all over again. However, you will get stronger with each run and you can improve your character step by step. In Rogue Legacy 2, the progression system works through a pedigree. Each time you die, your child continues your journey and accordingly inherits some of your strengths and weaknesses. However, you can permanent skills and upgrades unlock that last across generations. Be the launch of the title 15 playable classes be available.
Graphics have been significantly improved
While the predecessor still showed up with pixelated graphics in a retro look, Rogue Legacy 2 is a real feast for the eyes. The graphic style of the title is reminiscent of one Cartoons from the 90s and impresses with its variety of biomes from lava, snow to castle areas, everything is there.

When will Rogue Legacy 2 be released?
Rogue Legacy 2 entered Early Access in August 2020 and will on April 28th appear as a full version on PC via Steam and Epic. Currently there is the first part of Rogue Legacy for free on the Epic Games Store to download. According to PC gamers the developers announced in a press release that they are already planning a third part of the roguelite.
