Bavarian Premier Markus Söder cancelled a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia after testing positive for the coronavirus, he said on Saturday. “After two years, it has finally caught up with me. In the run-up to my trip to the Gulf region, a PCR [polymerase chain reaction] test was positive today,” he tweeted. Söder had been due to depart on Sunday, but will now go into isolation.
