Chinese company BOE Technology expects to receive an order from Apple to supply OLED displays for future iPad and MacBook models. This is reported by the Korean edition of The Elec, citing its own informed sources.

AirPods 3 failed. Apple cuts production by a third

iOS 15.4.1 is out. What’s new?

For a major order from Apple, BOE is about to build a separate OLED panel production line at its plant in Sichuan, China. It is reported that the launch of the new line will take place by the end of 2024. By expanding production, BOE will be able to compete equally with Samsung Display and LG Display in winning orders from Apple.

Also, sources of the publication confirmed that the first iPad models equipped with OLED displays will debut in 2024. These, most likely, will be top versions with the prefix Pro in the title. If the demand for them is high, then in a year, in 2025, the company will release the first MacBook with a screen based on organic LEDs.
