According to reports, on the morning of April 6, local time in the United States, a small plane crashed in the middle of a highway in Georgia, causing traffic disruption.
A small plane crashed on a busy avenue in suburban northwest Atlanta on Thursday, causing traffic delays, authorities said.
There was only one pilot on the plane, Corey Robertson, who was taken to hospital with minor leg injuries, local police said.
And a driver’s dash cam footage recorded the horrific scene on Highway 41 in Kennesaw, northwest of Atlanta.A small plane stumbled from a distance before hitting the highway in an instant.
The FAA posted a photo on Facebook showing the plane crashing nose down on a green field in the middle of the highway.
Police said a power line was also broken when the plane crashed and has since been repaired. The FAA said the plane was a single-engine Grumman AA-1.The plane, which departed from nearby Cobb County International Airport, reported an engine failure shortly after takeoff.
Currently, the accident is still under investigation.
