FAS reportedthat Booking.com paid a fine of 1.3 billion rubles. The money has already arrived in the Russian budget.
The agency fined the service in the summer of 2021 for abusing a dominant market position.
Booking.com imposed unfavorable conditions on Russian hotels. They were required to maintain price parity and have free rooms. As a result, hotels could not set prices on other services lower than on Booking.com.
The company appealed the fine, but in November 2021, the court left it unchanged. [ФАС]
