Are you tired of shoot’em ups? So why not try your hand at Dodge’Em Up with the new title of Thunderful and Digital Kingdom named Swordship. Expected during the month of September on Nintendo Switch and competing media, we let you discover its presentation trailer below, accompanied by an official description.

Swordship takes place in a world where the consequences of global warming have forced the vast majority of humanity to take refuge in three gigantic underwater cities. Those expelled from the cities barely survive on the scorched lands. Meanwhile, megacities exchange millions of containers loaded with goods every day. You play as one of the few locals willing to steal these precious containers and deliver vital supplies to the banished.

Having a super fast boat devoid of cumbersome and heavy weapons is an advantage for a smuggler who tries to get his stolen goods from one place to another as quickly as possible, but leaves you vulnerable to attacks. That’s why only the most skilled pilots can survive. Using your movement speed, turning enemy attacks against them, and mastering the various weather conditions offered by procedurally generated levels is the only way to survive.

Players have the option to choose from several Swordship variants, each with a unique active power, allowing them to experiment with various approaches to overcoming the game’s challenging levels. Players can further refine their playstyle by spending a portion of their loot to buy passive upgrades that they can rack up throughout a run to boost their ship’s abilities and have a better chance of making it out in one piece.
