(Reuters) – The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed President Joe Biden’s nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. A total of 115 justices have served on the Supreme Court in the nation’s history, including 17 as chief justice.
