Violent storms have caused injuries and property damage in north-western Italy. Near Milan on Monday, a couple of senior citizens were hit by a falling tree and injured, the man seriously, the ANSA news agency reported. Also just outside Milan, a farmer was hit by two trees blown down by the wind.
