US chip maker Qualcomm will release its new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset in May. This was stated by a user of the Korean blog Naver under the nickname yeux1122.
According to a source in the supply chain, Qualcomm will introduce a new flagship chip for Android smartphones earlier than usual, and the first devices based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be released in China in June, but their names are not yet known.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be built on TSMC’s 4nm process and will likely be very similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but with slightly higher clock speeds.
It is assumed that one of the first gadgets on the new chip will be OnePlus 10 Ultra.
