Online subscribers can look forward to the next Mario game

Nintendo doesn’t hesitate and will bring the next N64 game to the switch in April. Online subscribers can look forward to an old sports game by Nintendo mascot Mario.

Nintendo announces the next N64 game that should land on the switch soon: Mario Golf should already at the 15 th of April end up in the expansion pack of the Nintendo Switch Online Service:

From then on, subscribers to the expansion pack will have access to the sports game, which has become classics such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 joined.

The release of Pokémon Snap, F-Zero X and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards are also planned. If Nintendo sticks to the previous release pace, it should every month one of the mentioned games appear.

Retro fans are disappointed

In the comments below the Twitter post, as well as on Reddit, Nintendo fans share their disappointment with the April release. While Mario Golf is, for some, better than Mario Golf: Super Rush, which came out for the Switch in 2021, many had hoping for another game.

What happens when all the announced N64 games are out?

How Nintendo will proceed after the release of the announced N64 games is still unclear. Some console classics might announced later such as Diddy Kong Racing and Pokémon Stadium.

More likely, however, is that Nintendo is focusing on the next virtual console – like the Game Boy. Or they leave it at that for now and fill the expansion pack for Switch Online with more DLCs.
