At the end of 2018, Hyundai presented the large SUV Palisade, which is developed for the American market. Now it’s time to give the model a facelift and this is the first thing we get to see from this. As we can see, the car gets a slightly angrier look and overall, the new car should match the other models in the range in a better way. It will premiere at the New York International Auto Show next week.

Huge Hyundai Palisade is here
Eight-seater SUV for the American market
Two weeks ago, pictures of Hyundai’s new model Palisade were leaked. Now it is officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show and this is the largest car the manufacturer has ever built. The SUV, which has been specially developed for the American market, has room for up to eight people in three rows, and of course has the potential to become a new favorite among those who transport their children to football training and the like. Under the hood is a V6 of 3.8 liters that gives 295 horses and 355 newton meters in turn. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox which in turn can send the power only to the front wheels or all four. There are four different driving modes and these are Normal, Sport, Smart and Snow Mode. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go are standard. The optional list includes the Rear Occupant Alert, which with the help of ultrasonic sensors detects movements from children or animals in the back seat and thus prevents you from forgetting someone in the car. Should you do that and walk away, the car starts honking and also sends a message to the phone that you should stop being forgetful. The inside offers lots of technology and Nappa leather if you like. Both the second and third rows can be folded with the push of a button for when you need to load large items. Both rows have several USB sockets and there are no less than 16 cup holders – extra important for Americans. The instrument housing consists of a screen of 12.3 inches and on the center console there is one of 10.25 inches. This can of course handle Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The sound system comes from Infinity and it should be possible to charge wirelessly via a Qi tablet. Sales start next summer, but unfortunately we do not yet know what the model will cost.
