Stargazer Ruins

the Stargazer Ruins in Elden Ring are a location on the mountain top of the giants (east side).

You can find the ruins south-east of the Exalted One’s hut and north of the Place of Mercy “Ruins of Primeval Snow”.

Here is the location on the map:

Access to the plateau with the ruins is gained via the bridge from the north (from the place of grace “Primal Snow Valley – Viewpoint” to the west).

In the main part of the ruins, you’ll hear a voice saying something like, “Sister, where have you gone?”. A ghost jellyfish is floating next to the staircase.

A jellyfish reunion.

To unravel this mystery, you need the Ashes of the Ghost Jellyfish (one of the first ones you get in the game: from Roderika in the hut at Storm Hill or later in the Round Table). Perform the summon and the jellyfish will jump on it.

You get the Gesture: pirouette and a seal nearby has been broken, a text message says.

Go down the stairs, open the door to the underground chamber and you will discover a treasure chest with the Primal Shimmerstone Blade in this.

This solves the riddle in the Ruins of the Stargazers. In the eastern part you can still find a corpse 2x Frost Fatotherwise that was it.

Continue with the next location.

First Church of Marika

the First Church of Marika is a location on the mountain top of the giants (east side).

It’s on the south-eastern edge of the area, just south of the icy, frozen lake (where you can fight the dragon Borealis).

As always with the churches in Elden Ring, there isn’t that much here. Melina apparently has a special dialogue here when you’re resting at the place of grace within the church (and haven’t gotten far enough into the main story for her to disappear).

Grab these holy tear. On the cliffs southeast of the church you will find a skeleton on a chair that 3x Blacksmith Stone (7) has in his pocket.

The most important item is on the corpse right in front of the entrance to the church: the Darkstone Prospector’s Sonic Bead 3.

Important.

The shimmer can sometimes be difficult to see because of the snow. That was it with the church. There is nothing more to be gained here.
