Germany’s Natalie Geisenberger is on track for luge gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics as she leads after two of four runs following a crash from compatriot Julia Taubitz. The 34-year-old Geisenberger has an advantage of 0.208 seconds over another German, Anna Berreiter, going into Tuesday’s decisive finals runs. Tatyana Ivanova of the Russian Olympic Committee is third but nearly 6 tenths of a second off the pace. World Cup overall champion Taubitz led after run one on Monday but crashed second time round and with a deficit of 1.595 seconds is effectively out of medal contention.
