In a press release, Intel has now announced that it will cease all business activities in Russia with immediate effect. This measure follows the announced suspension of deliveries of its own products to customers in Russia and Belarus about a month ago.
On April 5, chip manufacturer Intel announced that all business activities within Russia should now also be terminated with immediate effect. The company added that it continues to join the global community in condemning the war in Ukraine and calling for a speedy return to peace.
Intel with a rigorous approach
About exactly a month ago, Intel (like AMD) decided to take initial measures against Russia and Belarus by suspending deliveries of its own products to customers in those countries. In the recent press release, Intel further states:
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this war, especially the people of Ukraine and surrounding countries, and all people around the world with family, friends and loved ones in the region.”
In addition, Intel continues to work to support all of its employees in this situation, including its 1,200 employees located in Russia. In addition, the chip manufacturer has implemented measures to continue business in order to minimize interruptions to the group’s global activities.
