iOS 15.5 is available in its first beta tonight, with a final version that could drop during the WWDC22 or maybe just before (to make room for the iOS 16 beta!). This new and perhaps ultimate version of iOS 15 contains a few small new features.

Developers should be aware that the Universal Control feature between Mac and iPad requires all devices to be switched to the first beta of their respective operating system. For example, if you updated your iPad to iPadOS 15.5, you will need to install macOS 12.4 on the Mac. That’s good, the first beta of macOS 12.4 is available.

MacRumors has for its part spotted references to Apple Classical, which could well be the future app dedicated to classical music. It is for Apple Music to offer a better listening experience for the classic, it is true quite roughed up in the current app.

The iTunes Pass function, launched in 2014, has not left an indelible memory. It thus disappeared from iOS quietly, at least in the United States and Canada (perhaps you will have better luck at home). As a reminder, it was the equivalent of an App Store & iTunes card housed in the Cards app (ex-Wallet), which can be loaded by going to an Apple Store.

All you had to do was present the pass to a Store Specialist to add a credit to the card, in the desired amount (not necessarily the fixed amounts of the classic App Store & iTunes cards). With iOS 15.5, Apple may intend to revive this function: according to the findings of 9to5Macthis Wallet card is now called Apple Account and we can fund this special account with Apple Pay, without having to go to a store.

The Apple Account card will perform the same functions as the previous version, namely the purchase of content, the payment of subscriptions, and also equipment in countries where it is possible (in France, we are still limited by cards for content only).
