Australia’s first curling Olympians have been given a late reprieve and will resume their Beijing Winter Games campaign, the Australian Olympic Committee announced Sunday. Earlier on Sunday the AOC said curler Tahli Gill’s successive positive Covid-19 tests had cut short her and teammate Dean Hewitt’s Olympics and the pair would return to Australia. However, an urgent meeting with the Medical Expert Panel in Beijing had granted the pair a reprieve, allowing them to stay.
