This year’s edition of the WWDC developer conference will also be web-based. But Apple will invite a host of developers and students to a physical meeting on June 6.

During last year’s WWDC conference, Apple unveiled a whole heap of news for its operating systems, including the shareplay features and talked about universal control.

Focus on operating system – again

This year, developers, and students, are invited to one virtual event held between 6-10 June. Just like last year, the focus will be on showcasing upcoming news for all different variants of Apple’s operating system – that is, Mac OS, iOS, iPad OS, Watch OS and TV OS.

In addition, a small crowd of developers and students will also be invited to a physical gathering held on the opening day of June 6 at Apple Park, the technology company’s huge headquarters in Cupertino, California. On site, the congregation will be able to watch the conference’s opening speech and state of the union videos, a kind of technical in-depth study of the current state of the platforms. The keynote speech and in-depth studies will also be broadcast online for developers.

Rumors abound before WWDC

Before each edition of WWDC, there are swarms of online rumors that in addition to new software, Apple will also present fresh hardware at the conference.

Right now, highly interesting development work is being carried out on several upcoming Apple products. It is no secret, for example, that the iPhone manufacturer works with a pair of VR and AR glasses. Ny Teknik has also written an occasional article about Apple’s as yet unconfirmed plans to develop a self-driving car (although that work may have been put on hold).

The probability that we will see a vr helmet, Apple car or maybe an updated Mac Pro is therefore low. On the other hand, the latest hardware was unveiled at WWDC just the computer Mac Pro and the screen Pro Display XDRso you never know.
