The world of Rainbow Six is now available for iPhone and iPad. Ubisoft announced today that they are working on a new Rainbow Six Mobile game.
Rainbow Six is a popular first-person shooter on PC and consoles. Inspired by Rainbow Six Siege, gamers can play this “adversarial, tactical and addictive first-person shooter” anywhere.
While the core gameplay, characters, and maps may have similarities to Siege, we’ve rebuilt everything from the ground up with mobile usability in mind. We’ve done a lot of work to bring Siege to mobile. This includes a brand new gameplay control system designed specifically for mobile devices, as well as extensive optimizations to the user interface and visual presentation in the game.
Ubisoft hopes to get a lot of new players in R6 by porting it to mobile devices. The idea is to be able to experience the world of Rainbow Six from anywhere in the world.
After over 3 years of development, we felt it was the right time to announce the game and start testing with real players. Our goal is to develop the best R6 experience for mobile, and we can only do that with the help of the community. And to be honest, the team can’t wait to pass our game on to the players!
There will be live player tests coming soon so the development team can get some feedback. The game is available for both Android and iOS. You can register to test Rainbow Six Mobile on the Ubisoft website.
