Age of Empires IV Season 1: Festival of Ages dates and news | Xbox One

After the release of Age of Empires mobile in China, the first season of Age of Empires IV is about to be launched. Exciting new things are planned, and today we bring you a full recap of what’s in store for gamers and gamers very soon.

When will Age of Empires 4 Season 1 be released?

Seasons of Age of Empires IV consist of new content and rewards for progressing and unlocking items for a set period of time.

Season 1, called Festival of Ages will run from April 13 at 7:00 p.m. PT until June 30 at 7:00 p.m. This is therefore a 60-day period during which you can participate in ranked seasons, complete seasonal events and earn login rewards.

The arrival of ranked mode in Age of Empires 4

1 vs 1 ranked mode makes its debut. Compete in ranked matches against fierce opponents throughout the season as you rise through the ranks, fighting your way to conquest and triumph. Rewards are up for grabs throughout Season 1.

Age of Empires 4 Seasonal Events

Complete challenges to earn rewards. Many events will take place during Season 1: Festival of Ages, each lasting two weeks and with a one week break in between.

List of challenges and rewards from April 13 to April 27

• Yours Truly: Complete the Advanced Combat Art of War challenge. Reward: Coat of Arms Seal
• Honey, I Shrunk the Trees: Complete a skirmish or custom match with an active mod. Reward: Bamboo Seal.
• Sovereignty: Unlock the Yuan and/or Ming dynasties with the Chinese. Reward: Tiger portrait.
• Chivalry is Dead: Participate in the Battle of the Thirty mission in the Hundred Years War campaign. Reward: Tiger Seal.
• Come the Spoils: Play a Ranked Season Match until you or your opponent win by Conquest, Wonder, or Control of Holy Places. Reward: Dragon Portrait.

Note that when you first log into the game during each event period, you will receive an exclusive login reward without the need to participate in a challenge.

Other Season 1 New Features

In addition to the challenges and the ranked mode, other new features will be available in Season 1 of Age of Empires IV. We can notably cite the content editor or the arrival of the MegaRandom map. Count on Xboxygen to follow all this closely.

Age of Empires IV is currently only available on PC and is included in Game Pass PC. With rumors of internal testing, an Xbox version of the game is potentially in the works.
