Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday kept up his criticism of former German chancellor Angela Merkel for the decision to block Ukraine’s entry into NATO in 2008. He said that Merkel and then French president Nicolas Sarkozy had allowed themselves to be influenced by Russia during discussion on the topic at a NATO summit in Bucharest 14 years ago.
