In the video above, Arun from Mrwhosetheboss and Tom Scott tests stalking with one of Apple’s AirTags, to determine how easy it actually is to track a person with the company gadget. The answer is that it is quite difficult, at least when the target is moving activities in the hope of not being found.

Apple updates AirTags to prevent unwanted tracking
They are only there to find lost objects
Apple’s AirTag is a perfect gadget to put on, for example, the keys and just forget about it until the keys disappear and all of a sudden it becomes much easier to find. Some do not agree with it and want more of the stuff, so they start tracking everything from cars, bikes and even other people. That’s not what AirTag is for, says Apple, it’s just meant to help them find lost items. Therefore, they are now coming up with some updates that will prevent people from doing a lot of stupid things. In an upcoming update of iOS, users when they start the gadget will see a warning that clarifies that AirTags are only there to find lost items and nothing else. The next news does not really have to do with AirTags but previously users have received a notice that an “Unknown item” follows one if it is AirPods (3), AirPods Pro, AirPods Max (which is also part of the Find network) now it will say that it is a pair of AirPods. Finally, Apple is updating its support page which tells about the security features of AirTags.
