Season 2 of the series The Witcher wasn’t even aired yet netflix that season 3 had already been confirmed, a sign of great confidence from the SVOD service in this adaptation, which definitely has many fans. Only a few weeks after the broadcast of the second batch of episodes for this series, we learn that the production of season 3 was starting slowly, but things are accelerating today a little more with the formalization of the start of filming.

As seen in the first behind-the-scenes photo released by Netflix, Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan are back as Geral, Yennefer and Ciri respectively, in costumes, in the snowy tundra. The three protagonists should therefore share a little more time together during this season, the filming of which should last a few weeks.
This is why no release date for season 3 of The Witcher has been formalized, even if it should logically arrive in 2023. At least this year the spin-off mini-series The Witcher: Blood Origin will entertain us if all goes well. Enough to allow us to wait wisely for the next game The Witcherwhich meanwhile, will not arrive for years, despite its recent officialization.
