In the Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go you have the chance to catch certain Pokémon more often for a limited time!

What Pokémon are there this month and what are the dates?

Here are the current dates for this month’s Spotlight Hours:

  • Tuesday April 5, 2022 – 6pm to 7pm local time
  • Tuesday April 12, 2022 – 6pm to 7pm local time
  • Tuesday, April 19, 2022 – 6pm to 7pm local time
  • Tuesday April 26, 2022 – 6pm to 7pm local time

  • Tuesday, April 12, 2022 – Scoppel (possible iridescent) + double XP for evolving
  • Tuesday, April 19, 2022 – Myrapla (Iridescent possible) + double stardust for catching
  • Tuesday, April 26, 2022 – Kinoso (Sun Form) + double XP for catching

The Pokémon of the spotlight hours in Pokémon Go in April 2022.

How does this event work?

Basically, the spotlight hour in Pokémon Go is similar to a community day. A specific Pokémon is the center of attention for a certain period of time (one hour) and appears more frequently.

Of course, you can also activate Smoke and Lure Module to attract even more Pokémon of the respective species.

Additionally, a small bonus is active, as is the case with Community Day, which usually relates to XP, Stardust, and Candy.

What doesn’t exist are exclusive attacks. And new Shiny Pokemon have not been introduced during Spotlight hours either.
