What are the current problems in Gran Turismo 7? Developer Polyphony Digital has published a list of known problems with the racing game on the official website.
They affect different areas such as multiplayer, vehicle settings or even used cars.
These problems exist in Gran Turismo 7
The list looks like this:
- multiplayer
- There were cases in the lobby where the host could not start the race even though the screen said “Preparing”. When all room members leave and re-enter the room, the race can be started.
- There were instances in the lobby where you can’t drive and are taken straight to the main race if you head onto a track in practice. In this case, please try to leave the room and re-enter it.
- In a 2-player split-screen race, driver assistance settings are locked for player 2. We plan to fix this bug in a future update. (Player 1 uses the driver assistance settings set under [Einstellungen] -> [Fahrhilfe-Einstellungen] are listed.)
- In the lobby, there were cases where players in the same room would not appear in the member list or in the race. In this case, an application error occurs when the host tries to start the race.
- In the lobby the [Fahrhilfe-Einstellungen] reset to defaults if [Raumeinstellungen] > [BoP/Tuning verboten] is set to “On”.
- There were cases in the lobby where users could not progress further after completing a race.
- There were instances in the “Lobby” where players on a PlayStation4 would see a black screen and their controller inputs would stop working when starting a race with a mix of PS4 and PS5 players.
- Watch
- If a player spectating from the lobby or meeting point switches the camera target to a vehicle in the pits and then back to a vehicle on the track, the third-person view becomes unavailable. Exiting spectate mode will fix the issue.
- Used cars
- At the used car dealer, there were cases in which some vehicles were not displayed correctly when the “Add to wish list” box was checked when scrolling through the car list. In this case, please return to the world map and re-enter the “Used Cars” pavilion.
- livery editor
- When adding a decal in the “Live Editor” and saving it under “Custom Parts” > “Front” > “Type A” of a Ferrari F430 ’06, the decal is not displayed correctly on the front bumper.
- options
- If the “In progress” option is under [GT-Menü] > [Optionen] > [Allgemein] > [Benachrichtigungen im Spiel] is set to “Off”, it will be set back to “On” once the game is restarted.
- vehicle settings
- There were cases where selecting a part in the “Tuning Shop”, canceling the purchase and then opening the vehicle settings resulted in the newly created settings page name being blank and the page resetting.
- Other
- There have been instances where the app would get stuck during the loading screen on startup, and rare instances where the app would crash when joining certain racing events. Deleting and reinstalling “Gran Turismo 7” can fix these problems.
Future updates should fix these issues. A recent update has ensured, among other things, that you should no longer lose your progress.
Previously, the game was heavily criticized for its microtransactions and reduced credit rewards. A few days later, Polyphony Digital commented and announced a number of improvements.
