Do you remember ax throwing? God of War Ragnarök should have similar mechanics. In any case, this is what a PlayStation developer suggests.

Fans are eagerly awaiting a release date for God of War Ragnarok scheduled for 2022 on PS5 and PS4. Sony Interactive Entertainment does not seem inclined to communicate on it for the moment, probably preferring to see more clearly before announcing anything. Suddenly, any crumb is good to take, like this teaser from a person who is currently working on the game.

God of War Ragnarök: new gameplay

A young streamer with the nickname Trophy Dad streamed his discovery of God of War (2018) a few days ago on Twitch. First time obliges, he was speechless by a mechanic:

I imagine everyone felt the same way after the ax throwing tutorial in #GodOfWar. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the feeling good.

His tweet went up to Handsome Anthony Jimenezsound designer at PlayStation, who teased a new mechanism that should not fail to make us react.

I can’t wait for players to react the same way to what we prepare for God of War Ragnarök. Needless to say, the work done is great.

A direct sequel

Could the new mechanic affect Blades of Chaos this time around? A new weapon or feature of the Leviathan axe? Something related to Atreus? We can theorize for hours, but without a clue, we will not go well there. The only certainties are that Kratos and Atreus will have full access to the Nine Realms and that they will come across an enemy that appeared at the very end of God of War for everyone who returned home. The only way to trigger the true outcome of the game.

God of War Ragnarök will be available in 2022 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, but will not be included in the new PS Plus when released.
