It had to be a big snake

The advantage of fighting against Rykard, the Lord of Blasphemyis that your specialization does not matter: as soon as you enter the arena, you will have to pick up the weapon which is right in front of you: the Viper-Stalker.

In this gigantic room (and only in this one), the Viper-Stalker has a unique property: the scope of attacks is strongly increased, with an increased capacity of destabilization. The object of the game is to find the right scope to hit the boss with the weapon’s special ability combowhich will cause maximum damage.

If you invoke the spirit of the imitation tearthe fight will become almost trivial.

The thing is, the Viper Stalker’s attacks don’t necessarily destabilize the boss, so use special ability with discernment. Between two normal boss attacks, favor a heavy jump attack if you absolutely want to attack.

It’s pretty easy to dodge the snake’s attacks, but beware as soon as he raises his head and prepare accordingly. You will have the opportunity to the famous combo in a safe way when you have dodged the boss mug.

Always keep an eye on your pc bar.

From time to time, the snake will spit venom: dive towards himwhile taking care to sneak between two bullets. Otherwise you will be greatly slowed down (not to mention the poisoning effect).

Finally, beware when the snake bury his head in the ground : it will project a wave of rock and magma devastating. There is no cons other than the fact that you will absolutely have to keep your distance. If you’re sure you can’t fall back, don’t forget to keep : this can still limit breakage.

A spirit specialised in ranged attack will have the merit of distracting the boss from time to time.

As you can imagine, the fight is not over: Rykard reveals his true appearance.

Although the fight changes in form, it does not change in substance: learn to dodge the slow sword attacks, and keep on stuff the boss with the special attack combo of the Viper-Stalker (or with heavy attacks if you don’t want to take too many risks).

Take into account that the boss will be more likely to get closer to youslowly but surely, until you potentially get stuck all the way to the edge of the arena: take up space.

Rykard can jump in the air, throwing molten rock pretty much everywhere.

Around 50% health, the boss can quickly become intimidating, as fire geysers and a hail of ghostly projectiles will invade the arena. Get to safety first, the storm will pass eventually, however long the weather may seem.

Eventually, Rykard will channel fire in his swordconcluding with a devastating vertical attack. Run at a tangent from the boss and you should be safe. It will be an opportunity to a big combo forever more damage.

Take your timeplace attacks between those of the boss that are rather telegraphed and you should beat him without too much trouble.

Fact, Rykard will give you a One-Eye Smitten Tunic, his Memories of the Lord of Blasphemy and his Major Rune.
