A container ship that ran aground off the coast of Germany on Wednesday has been refloated. The country’s Central Command for Maritime Emergencies (CCME) announced in the early hours Friday that the Danish-flagged Mumbai Maersk freighter had been freed on the second attempt. The 400-metre-long ship got stuck late Wednesday around 6 kilometres north of the East Frisian Island of Wangerooge as it headed from Rotterdam to Bremerhaven.
