New Jersey had a good week in terms of COVID-19 numbers Jan. 24-30, but Hudson County had a great week: The county saw a 42% decline in new positive cases, the most of any county, with hospitals and schools seeing the benefit. The number of cases per 1,000 fell from 6.9 to just 4, compared to 5.5 per 1,000 in the state as a whole.
