Norway’s Jarl Magnus Riiber, the overwhelming favourite for Nordic combined gold at the Beijing Winter Games, has tested positive for the coronavirus, his country’s national media reported Thursday. The 24-year-old Riiber must now enter quarantine, news agency NTB and others said citing the Norwegian Olympic body. Riiber won the Nordic combined overall World Cup in 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21, and dominated this season as well until forced to break due to a back injury.
