The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as Eric Draven in The Crow reboot. In the original film, that was the name of a rock musician who is killed along with his fiancée on the eve of their wedding. As a result, the hero comes back to life thanks to the mysterious spirit of Raven in order to take revenge on the offenders.
Skarsgård is best known to viewers for the It dilogy, where the actors played the clown Pennywise. In addition, he can be seen in the films “There are no feelings in space”, “The Devil is Always Here” with Tom Holland and the TV series “Castle Rock”.
Together with Skarsgård in the new “The Crow” will play British singer Thalia Debrett Barnett under the pseudonym FKA twigs. What role she will play is not known. Presumably, Thalia will portray Draven’s fiancée Shelly Webster on screen.
The screenplay is being written by Zach Baylin, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work on the drama King Richard. The director is Rupert Sanders, who directed the last Ghost in the Shell, as well as Snow White and the Huntsman.
Filming for the reboot of The Crow is scheduled to begin in June 2022 in Prague and Munich.
