Meanwhile, the mausoleum of the first, the current WoW raid, has been open for a good month and the DpS of most players has practically exploded in this time. This is not only due to the higher item level that is available in the new raid, but above all to the new tier sets and the unlocking of the second Legendary. This has helped thousands of groups defeat bosses they were previously struggling with over the past few days. And so the bosses beyond Anduin are no longer reserved for the top guilds, but have been victimized thousands of times by the guilds.
The second legendary and the animal sets not only increased the DpS, but also messed up the balancing properly. We therefore want to take another look at the rankings and see which classes could push themselves to the top and which could still use buffs or nerfs after the past class adjustments.
WoW: DpS in the mausoleum of the first – starting position
To really find out what classes and playstyles are currently capable of, we’re going to narrow it down to the top 5 percent of all heroic logs for each class. This is how we make sure the numbers aren’t skewed by weaker players or erroneous logs (e.g. where the player was dead on the ground half the time). Since these numbers were usually achieved with almost perfect equipment, the two best legendaries, the best packages and both tier set bonuses, the pure values are hardly meaningful for us normal players.
That being said, many high quality logs are only achieved through the concentrated use of support spells like Soul of Power on individual players. So if you can’t reach the numbers given, you don’t need to worry. However, the values are quite useful for the relationship between the classes.

Even in Heroic mode, the first boss in the Mausoleum of the First isn’t really a challenge for any group. And stupidly, it also says little about the performance of the classes. Because the fight consists of far too much running back and forth and even more waiting. The only important thing is the final phase, when you have to kill the boss before he kills you.
What the logs on Vigilant Warden show us is which classes have a good mix of area burst and consistent single target damage. And it looks like it’s mostly the demonology warlocks with their zoo of companions. Spoiler alert: Not only here are the dark fellows at the top. – raid guide toom Watchful Guardian.

Then, with Dausegne, we’re faced with a single-target fight, with only the occasional short-lived add intervening in the fight. Since little movement is also required, the classes can squeeze out a lot of DpS here. Once again we find the demo sorcerer far ahead – a juicy distance ahead of priests and frost magicians. But behind it it gets exciting. Feral Druids clearly put their Owl colleagues in their place, and Enhancement Shamans are clearly ahead of their buffed Ele colleagues.
Affliction Sorcerers and Windwalker Monks make up the sad ending. The two would need a massive buff to even keep up with the other specs. – Raid guide to Dausegne.

We’re slowly getting used to the picture: demo sorcerers are at the top, affliction sorcerers at the bottom and the broad middle is relatively close together. We like the latter and could live with the former – if the gaps weren’t so big. “Dämos” cause over 40 percent more damage here than “Afflis” – on average.
Fire mages and animal rulers are also far below. However, mages will have to get used to playing all three specs anyway if they really want to get the most out of their class on every boss. Incidentally, Windwalker monks are better off here because there are several goals in the meantime – the buff has definitely helped here. – Xy’mox Raid Guide.
WoW: DpS at the prototype pantheon
Source: warcraft logs / buffed
Although most of the time the prototype pantheon is only against two bosses, the final phase in particular plays an important role in the final settlement. There you beat down all four bosses as quickly as possible with all cooldowns and heroism / bloodlust. Massive surface damage is therefore mandatory.
And already the survival hunter, who was thought dead for many years, is right at the front. Thanks to the enormously strong set bonuses and good synergy with the two Legendaries, the melee fighter shoots out enormous damage. Just behind is the marksmanship colleague, whose set bonuses and legendaries are made for exactly this scenario.
Logically, with such a special fight, the differences in DpS are significantly larger than usual. But that shouldn’t be a particularly big problem. – Prototype Pantheon Raid Guide.
WoW: DpS at Skolex, the insatiable predator
Source: warcraft logs / buffed
If a fight in the mausoleum is a good way to find out what single-target damage the classes can handle, it’s Skolex. The ranged fighters rarely need to move, and the melee fighters rarely need to let go of the boss. It is precisely in such fights that the balancing should be good.
If you left out the bottom three specs (Affliction Sorcerer, Destruction Sorcerer, and Windwalker Monk), the balancing wouldn’t be bad either. The outlaw villain coming last would then only do 18 percent less damage than the leader. Of course, that would by no means be perfect – but still within a very acceptable range. So, on the other hand, the developers should still distribute one or the other buff. – Raid Guide to Skolex.
