A new YouTube video was uploaded to Star Citizen, introducing the game’s first refinery ship, the MISC Expanse. This should eliminate the need for players to fly to a planet after mining. There is also a preview of the upcoming Alpha 3.17 from the developers.
A new video has been uploaded to the Star Citizen YouTube channel, in which, among other things, a new spaceship is presented. This is the Expanse offered by the in-game company MISC (Musashi Industrial & Starflight Concern), with which the first refinery spaceship is to come into space simulation.
Refinery Starship and Alpha 3.17
In the first few minutes of the video, several detailed concept arts from the MISC Expanse are shown and the developers’ plan is presented. According to this, it should be possible with the one-person spaceship to process ores mined in space with six reactors directly on site and thus save the way back to a planet. However, there are not too many other details from the developers – neither the sales price nor the release date are currently known. More information about the ship will follow in the coming weeks.
From 5:50 the video is about the new Alpha 3.17 from Star Citizen, which should actually be released in the first quarter of 2022. The developers show some in-game scenes of new functions such as mutual refueling of spaceships, the new loot system and the revised medical functions. With the Alpha 3.17, for example, there should be new clinics and a revision of the injuries. In addition, the new NPC system Quantum should come into play for the first time with the new version.

However, the video does not mention a release date for the new alpha. The targeted first quarter has been completed since Friday, and so far neither the update nor the exact release changelog have been published. Hopefully the delay won’t be too long, so Star Citizen fans will soon be able to try out the new features for themselves.
