The developer shchmue has just released a new version of Lockpick_RCM, which as a reminder is a payload for the Nintendo Switch which will be responsible for deriving the encryption keys to be able to use Switch file manipulation software such as hactool, hactoolnet/ LibHac, ChoiDujour… without starting Horizon OS.
Changelog 1.9.8:
– Added an Amiibo key dump option to the main menu – this saves the key_retail.bin file that the Amiibo tool needs to the sd:/switch folder.
– Many quality improvements
– Moved the partial dump option of Mariko’s AES key results to the main menu. Since this option makes booting and keydumping impossible and not useful to the vast majority of users, it was moved to the main menu as an isolated option, a verbal warning about the need to reboot after dumping was added and all dumping options are grayed out after it is run.
– Lockpick_RCM now stores the console unique ETicket RSA-2048 key pair that is used to validate custom tickets in the keystore as eticket_rsa_keypair. This was requested so that Switch emulators could more easily support validating custom game dumps.
