Authoritative insider and analyst at TFI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted his prediction regarding the introduction of under-screen biometric scanners in the iPhone.

According to Kuo, Apple will implement under-screen Face ID technology on iPhones as early as 2024. If the company sticks to the standard naming, then most likely the first smartphone with a notchless display will be the iPhone 16.

It is worth noting that another authoritative source – the head of DSCC Ross Young – also announced the release of the first iPhone with an under-screen Face ID scanner in 2024.

According to rumors, this year only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will receive cutouts for the cameras in the displays, and the regular iPhone 14 will retain the usual bangs. In 2023, all four smartphone models will receive perforated screens, and by 2024 the biometric scanner and selfie camera will be placed under the OLED displays.
