On April 1, GAC Aian delivered 20,317 new cars in March, a year-on-year increase of 189%; in the first quarter, it delivered 44,874 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 154.26%. In February this year, GAC Aion sold 8,526 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 163%.

This year, GAC Aian’s self-developed battery trial production line started to further strengthen the self-control capability of battery cells; mass production of new models based on GAC’s “GEP3.0” pure electric exclusive platform; the self-developed advanced intelligent driving assistance system NDA system will also be Realize mass production.

On February 18, the second-phase capacity expansion of GAC AION Intelligent Ecological Plant was completed, and the first new car, AION LX Plus, rolled off the assembly line. GAC Group stated that the original 100,000-vehicle production capacity of Aeon is no longer enough, and the capacity utilization rate once exceeded 160%. It took only 15 days to complete the capacity expansion of the second phase of the GAC Aeon Intelligent Ecological Factory and put it into operation. It adopted digital twin and big data technology, saving 30% of the debugging time, and also adopted Lego-style modules for pre-assembly and independent assembly in batches. Increase installation efficiency by 40%. In addition, Aian said that it has started the construction of the second factory, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The AION LX PLUS model was officially launched on January 5, 2022, with a total of 4 models launched with a guide price of 286,600-459,600 yuan.
