For those who don’t know Don’t Starve yet, it’s a survival game developed by Klei Entertainment, first released on PC in 2013 with its multiplayer expansion in 2016, before arriving on Nintendo Switch in 2018. Since then, Switch players have been waiting with some impatience for the arrival of this extension called Don’t Starve Together. The wait is coming to an end and this good news does not come alone…
We will still have to wait until April 12, 2022 to be able to see Don’t Starve Together land on Nintendo Switch. That’s not all since a feature called “Shared Unlocks” (or shared unlocking) will also be part of it.
This feature will allow players on Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch versions to share skins, drops, characters, plant registry, slow cooker recipes, and Klei rewards.
Here are some details about Don’t Starve Together:
Fight, farm, build and explore together in the standalone multiplayer expansion to the no-compromise wilderness survival game, Don’t Starve.
Enter a strange and unexplored world full of strange creatures, hidden dangers and ancient secrets. Gather resources to craft items and build structures that suit your survival style. Play your way as you unravel the mysteries of “The Constant”.
Cooperate with your friends in private games or find new friends online. Work with other players to survive the harsh environment or go it alone.
I leave you with the launch trailer of the extension dating from the first release in 2016.
