German carmakers had varying levels of success in the United States in the first quarter of 2022. BMW achieved a 3.2% increase in sales of its core brand to 73,714 vehicles, the company said late on Friday. The BMW-manufactured Mini sold 6,876 vehicles, 9.4% more than in the same period last year. Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche, on the other hand, recorded a drop of almost a quarter to 13,042 vehicles.
