Two inmates were assaulted at Springhill Institution, a medium-security federal institution, on January 25, 2022, about 6:00 p.m. Staff members assessed the injured detainees and brought them to an outside hospital for treatment. One of the detainees has since returned to the facility, while the other is still hospitalized.
