A youth armed with a firearm possibly gained access to a school in the northern German port city of Hamburg on Tuesday. As it was not clear whether the observed gunman had actually entered the building or just walked towards the school building and then possibly past the school, police had cordoned off the area around the Otto Hahn School, the police tweeted. “The school building is currently being searched by special units as a precaution,” the tweet said. The Otto Hahn School, in the city’s Wandsbek district, is attended by almost 1,500 boys and girls.
