No April Fool’s joke: The employees of the Regensburg studio CipSoft can once again look forward to an additional annual salary.
Yesterday evening, CipSoft Managing Directors Stephan Vogler and Benjamin Zuckerer accepted the German Computer Game Award 2022 in the “Studio of the Year” category from Digital Minister of State Judith Gerlach (CSU). In her laudatory speech, Gerlach emphasized, among other things, the social commitment of the Regensburg company, which was also and especially shown during the corona pandemic.
This generosity should also continue seamlessly on the DCP evening: “This award is certainly the greatest award we have ever received,” says CipSoft founder Vogler. “Unfortunately, these are not carefree days. We have therefore decided to donate 50,000 euros to help the refugees from Ukraine.”
The DCP 2022 is already the third positive event for CipSoft in the current calendar year: January marked the anniversary of the launch of the online role-playing classic tibia for the 25th time – the long-running CipSoft product has been online for a quarter of a century and obviously continues to enjoy great popularity.
A receipt: For 2021, CipSoft reports the second-best business results in the company’s history. After the record result of €25.6 million in 2020, sales in the past year were €24.75 million – the profit before tax is an incredible €13.8 million.
The 92-strong workforce also benefits from this success: As in the previous year, the employees receive a profit-sharing bonus that roughly corresponds to an additional annual salary.
